Sigve Brekke, the head of Telenor’s Asia business, has told the Economic Times in an interview that the Norwegian company may still be willing to participate in the eventual re-auction of India's GSM licences, provided proposed modifications to the auction are implemented. Telenor’s local joint venture with Unitech, Uninor, lost all of its licences earlier this year, and the telco had said it would not be participating in the re-auction due to high prices and limited spectrum availability
