Tango makes a song and dance over LTE licence

Tango Luxembourg, the Grand Duchy’s second largest mobile operator by subscribers, has announced that it has obtained authorisation to launch a network based on Long Term Evolution (LTE) technology. Permission was granted by telecoms regulator Institut Luxembourgeois de Regulation (ILR), which included the concession in Tango’s 15-year 2G licence renewal. According to a company press release, Tango has already deployed LTE base stations in the City of Luxembourg, but plans to extend the network on a nationwide basis in due course
