The Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (POTRAZ) has reported that state- owned mobile operator NetOne added 144,000 net new subscribers in the first three months of this year to take its total to 1.60 million at the end of March. According to the regulator’s figures, this put NetOne in second place in the market, narrowly ahead of Telecel Zimbabwe, which POTRAZ said lost a net 375,000 cellular customers in the first quarter of 2012 to leave it with around 1.5 million.
