Madagascan telecoms regulator Office Malgache des Etudes et de Regulation des Telecommunications (OMERT) has reportedly revoked the operating licence of the country’s smallest wireless operator Madamobil, Telecompaper reports, citing local newspaper L'Express de Madagascar. According to OMERT director general Augustine Andriamananoro, the decision follows Madamobil’s failure to pay any taxes or fees to the state for around three years. Madamobil provides services over a CDMA2000 1x EV-DO network under the brand ‘Life’.
